what is better a 327 or 350

Does not... the shorter stroke of the 327 makes for more high end torque and not as much in the low end...

That's why 327s are in fast cars and 350s are in heavy trucks.... only a few years had a 327 available for a truck, and they were not any more powerful than a later year 350.

i'd like the name of your crack dealer, cuz apparently he's selling you some GOOOOOOOD stuff.

if the 327 has more low end torque, then guys building 383s for torque motors are going about it all wrong, they should've built 302s instead.

Displacement always nets more power when all else is equal. The longer the stroke, the more torque you get (usually) and torque is what we're all after in this line of play.

I'd much rather have a low revving torque monster off road then an engine that makes most of it's power 4000rpms+

The 327 is a great high reving engine. Dropped one in a Vega along with a Powerglide and that car would plain fly. I still have a set of Clevite 77 rod bearings for one of those small journal cranks if anyone needs them... :D

I thought the large journal came out of things like grain trucks. Our old small engines teacher back in high school had a grain truck with a 327, lol, he loved that truck and was always good for a full period long story about it :haha:
