What is the name of this steering shaft part

See picture. When my firewall dropped during dis-assembly this part became separated somewhat....

Now that the body is back together it came closer together but I think I should replace this "seal"??? I have searched the net but not finding anything. Perhaps if I knew what it was called I could find it.

I am super close to taking it for a test drive but I am concerned that my steering may be unreliable now.
