I have this on the firewall and want to get rid of it. What is it and what is it for? I am sure I can figure it out but was curious now. It looks like a vacuum canister.

yep, you're right, its a vacuum canister, my vacuum lines are all messed up, so i took mine off, its amazing how much it cleans up the firewall on that side.

Thanks, considering I am removing the cruise, heat, and air I guess it's not needed.

I took mine off also. I pretty much took everything off that didn't serve a particular purpose to make my rig run...

Well, it's now in the scrap pile next to the heater/ac unit and the cruise.:D
You might be able to sell some of the A/C and cruise stuff to someone on here if it's not too bad. If it is, scrap it. Just an idea

Actually it all worked fine when pulled. I might have to take some pics and see what happens. Actually the cruise worked better in the trail rig then it does on the daily driver. On the DD it works fine for awhile then just shuts off. Don't really use it much so I'm not going to fix it either.

It is the continuum transfunctioner for the cruise control.

The continuum transfunctioner, a mysterious and powerful device, whose mystery is only exceeded by its power.

Dude! It's a llama!

NO AND DEN!

Oh, god, that movie makes me laaaaaaaaaugh...

As Randy correctly identified, the thread hijack is courtesy of the Mister Demi Moore movie "Dude, Where's My Car?"

I think personally that the continuum transfunctioner may be the flux capacitor of the next decade.
