What is this for?

This is a spare tire carrier? Came inside a box inside a 71 Blazer I bought. Don't think it's for a Blazer. can not find another anywhere to identify. Looked on ebay and J. C. Whitney. Send pic of one installed if you can.

Definitely not a stock 71 unit.

I'm thinking it's an under-bed spare holder for a pickup, but it looks like it's been modified or hacked together, so ::shrug:: could be anything.

yep under bed rail and bolt thru the floor, that looks like the center of a rim w/ lug holes cut out and welded on, i think the upright is a bought part, but horizontal piece look homemade
