82 K5 Blazer. I was working on my worthless windshield fluid pump/system and can figure out what the heck the unit on my drivers fender is. Has wires, switches, hoses and cables attached to it.
Must be my Speedo, but there’s also a vacuum looking hose going through the firewall.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
And I saw a couple of posts about replacing the wiper motor. Anything I can do to get rid of some of the crap on this unit would be great.

Yup sounds like the cruise control transducer. It has speedo cable from transfer case to it then a cable to your speedometer. the vacuum hoses are source, brake switch, and throttle actuator. the electrical controls the unit

Okay, if I have cruise control, I’m going to freak out haha.
I’m trying to add some photos… the Speedo looks like it goes into there, as well as a cable from the trans.
The perplexing part is all the hoses, which appear to be part of the washer system.

they are not, but someone may have miss routed. you washer bottle is on the that fender forward of the transducer so the hoses do run in the same area

Thank you both. Now that I have an idea of what I’m looking at, I’ll research it. Ever since I’ve had the Blazer, it’s had Billet column handles, so cruise never occurred to me.

if the turn signal stalk is is billet, then the cruise switch may be missing. It was on the end of the stalk.

Wes are you still looking for exhaust pics? Just ran new all the way out.

I am always looking at exhaust pictures lol, I have my plan, the last exhaust i had done I was really disappointed. Am going to this one myself, and with the help of friend that welds much better than I.

yes that is part of the cruise control. no hose from this devise should go to the washer pump. There should only be one hose to washer fluid bottle and 2 hoses to hood washer nozzles from the wiper motor pump

Thank you Wes, I’ll get this re-routed. I think I’ll just replace the whole washer motor and find a reservoir. As long as the power that is there works, I’ll be in business.
As for the CC, I’ll just vacuum cap the ports there and see what happens.

I have a Catalytic on mine, but I’ll upload some pics soon anyway.
