What is this rochester?

Ok, I am trying to identify this Rochester. The numbers don't make sense to me, and the Karl guys' email is bad, so I thought i would post here. I don't know what this thing came off of.

2821 fup

Description I came up with deciphering the numbers:
92 2 barrel 455ci engine carb, which makes no sense.

Can you help me out?

170 - Prefix code
8 - Decade produced (1980's)
2 - Year produced (1982)
2 - Quadrajet 4bbl, Federal standards
2 - Division (Chevy)
4 - Even number = auto tranny

282 - day of the year produced
1 - 1981

So by my calculations you have a 1982 4bbl off a chevy with auto tranny. To my knowledge, there is no way of telling what size motor a carb came from unless you actually know what is came off.
