what is this thing??

It's a Chelsea PTO. 6-hole standard mount pattern, so it's designed for light-to-medium duty applications. Looks like it's specifically for a hydraulic pump. I looked in a WWW. truck parts cross-reference I have access to, but the part # doesn't come up. It's old; Chelsea re-numbered all their products some years back, and their online product guide only reflects the new info, so only the old books have the former p/n's and their applications.

the ptos for a sm465 and np205 have hellicul cut gears, these are straight. im gonna say its for a hydaulic pump, the pto for like a pto winch usually have a keyed shaft sticking out, but no housing around it.
