what is this thing????

ok so i finally cleaned out my gas tank and its ready to go back in to my truck whenever i have time. just before i seal the tank i want to know something. theres a rectangular plastic "container" inside my tank. im figuring it has something to do with anti-slosh but just to be sure, where does my fuel pump go in relation to this thing? should the plastic slosh box go right beneath my sending unit so the pump is inside? or does it matter?

Yea, it has to do with "anti-slosh" . It's called a baffle, and your sending unit / pump should go inside it.

I should point out that by doing so, you gain a lot more than just that ability. This site is easily the best investment I have made on my Blazer. The ability to PM some of the more knowledgeable members here has given me more ideas for producing the truck I want.

boy its you! dude i wanted to go to the pick n pull today but i seriously was feeling like sh-- next time boy! when theres a half of sale ya. the burbs gonna be ready dude im gonna put the tank in tomorrow.
