What is this wire for?

I have no clue what this wire is, but it got pinched when I put in a trans and I'm not sure it put it back together right. It goes from somewhere around the starter to under the dash, pink wire, but the PO might have changed that. Thanks for the help

I'm not sure, I have two or three wires going to the area of the starter, I assumed there would only need to be one to activate the starter. Maybe something else in the general area?

Edit: looked at the fuse panel, pink with a black tracer is the ignition wire, I think this one is labeled WDO, no clue what that means, any ideas? And there are two pink wires going to the starter, I'm guessing that isn't right?

pretty sure those 2 wires are to supply your fusebox with power. the purple one is the solenoid wire for the starter

I guess my truck's been rewired horribly then. I have a small pink wire for the solenoid, then two red (or one red, one pink, hard to tell) wires that come off the same post as the power supply to the starter.

I also recently swapped a trans, and this started at the same time. I assumed it was a pinched wire, is it possibly it had something to do with the trans swap?

I believe "**** my life" is an appropriate sentiment right now. One of the connections that I had resoldered cam apart underneath the shrink wrap, so it looked like it was still together. Fixed that and it works fine now. Thanks for putting up with my stupidity.
