I was at one of my "honey holes" today and saw a crashed Ford Countour that had a big tank in the trunk. At first I thought it was a propane tank but after looking at the engine I'm not so sure.Could this be for some kind of methanol set-up.It had goverment tags on it.

Had this cover over the tank.

I laughed when I looked at the pics. For some reason the first thing that came to mind was the old Egay ads with the naked guy reflections. :haha::doah:

That said, isn't "CNG" propane stuff?

Yeah, I saw the reflections and got scurred :D

It's like propane, but different :haha:

Propane's a liquid, right, LPG, and CNG is a compressed *gas*, if I 'member right.

Same idea, burns clean, isn't available just anywhere, etc etc.

It was eleven degrees there this morning,I had a few layers on.:DNatural gas crossed my mind but I didnt know. That stuff hasnt really caught on down this way.I wished it would have been propane, that would have been a good tank for a buggy.

Well, if it can handle the crazy pressure of CNG, it would be fine for propane, right? Or was it real small? (hard to tell from the pix)

Plumbing it might be challenging, I donno what either weirdo-gas tanks use.

The tank was huge.It filled in the space between the rear strut's in the trunk.I looked at the nozzle on the tank and was some kind of funky somethin.I can probably get it for nearly nothing, but it would be something else for to have to move.
