So as I was taking the intake off of my truck today I noticed this. It had an electrical connection to it and I can’t figure out what it is. It’s probably a stupid question, but what the hell is it?

Oil pressure sending unit.
auto matic muffler bearing greaser unit . . . . naa x2 what he said above . 
if you eve need to remove it . you MUST hold the 45* adapter firm before you unscrew the sender . if not they are known to break the brass adapter off in the block hole .

Thank! I guess I’ve never really paid attention to it before on my other vehicles. It seems to stick out more than what I’m used to for some reason.
