What is wrong with this starter?

I use this type of starter because my compression ratio is about 11:1. I kept killing stock starters. What is it that you think is wrong with this unit?

I use that style often, it is a stock replacement for the newer trucks. It's smaller, lighter, and reliable. But, DANG, that's much cheaper than the parts stores!

It does require shorter bolts too.

Just the price of it....seems most replacements are in the 140-200 range. I just wonder if its inferior parts inside? I didn't know if anyone has tried one of these "cheap" PMGR type starters on their rig.

Seems he has all good feedback, and the started has a 5 yr. defect warranty.

In some applications, those types can actually be closer to the headers than a stock type starter, even though they are adjustable.
