What do you gentleman think is a good replacement for my stock 305 carb on my 85? I believe its a Quadrajet 4bbl. but not sure.....

Simple , another Quadrajet , just use a non computer one

Get a Q-Jet out of Jegs or Summit. $300. Will give you good idle, throttle reponse, and take hills and off camber situations like a Champ!! That or a Holley Truck Avenger. Regular Holleys and Edelbrocks are no good when it comes to wheeling. I used an Edelbrock Q-Jet on a 81 and 86 Blazer that had to be smogged.
