hey. today i took my truck in because of an oil leak, i thought it was coming from the oil pressure sensor. what i found out was that my valve covers were leaking, my rear pinion seal was leaking, one of my drive shaft u-joints was shot, driver side exhaust manifold was leaking and missing a bolt, and my starter needed to be replaced. total to fix everything was around $1100.00 so i said i would replace the starter my self. saved $350.
so the truck is supposed to be done sometime before lunch tomorrow. oh ya i drive 87 fullsize jimmy 4x4 305 700r4, my problem is i have no idea what kind of starter to get if you guys have any suggestions to some good brands. iam willing to spend around $200. i just want to make sure that i get the right one so i dont have to mess around sending the wrong starter back. and if you need more info on the truck or the vin just let me know thanks.
