What kind of Tcase?

This Tcase is in my 1968 1/2ton 4WD, what kind of transfer case is this? what all would a guy have to do to put a np205 in?

not np205 buddy. iirc its a rockwell221 model . just as strong and basic design same.

how good is it? is it dependable? is it normal to whine? it sounds gear driven?

like i said good case strong . and its the daddy to the 205s. gear driven also.

so would you keep it in it k30?

Keep it until it goes out. You will find a few parts are hard to come by. If it ever goes out, replace with the NP205.

I have the T221 in my K20 with a 454. Mine was a little greasier than yours, if you can believe it, when I pulled it a while ago and put new seals in it.
