i am gonna be doing ORD springs and Bilstein bump stops in the near future but found a good deal on some Bilstein bumps on Craigslist.

Problem is they are two inches and four inches (2 of each)

I have heard that they can be annoying if they are hitting all the time driving around on the street but I also know you can shorten them.

If I had my way I would prob get 3" all around but....

What about running four in up front and two in the back?

Can you make this decision without having the springs on the truck?

Yea air bumps.

Gonna be similar height to what I have now. I currently run 52s and 56s with shackle flip and shackles etx. About 7 inches of lift.

I have heard the same thing about them hitting and being annoying. But in this case I think you have to take some and forgive some. You can go with a shorter bump but it won't slow the axle down as much as a longer shaft would.

if they are a good deal then take the 4"ers and internally limit them to only 2" travel.

You can always make a 4" into a shorter one by putting in a larger tube spacer inside.

I changed my 4" into 2.5s for the rear. And bought 2.5s for the front. Unless you have a lot of uptravel before the bumps are going to hit, aka at lease like 3" between the pads at ride height, then I don't recommend 4". Mine were 1" over the pad and it was super annoying hearing them clunk over little ruts and even pot holes on the road.

You need to mount them so they bottom out when your springs run out of bump travel (aka flat for non custom springs).

they are a decent deal, but nothing I don't think I can find again. I think I am gonna wait and just figure out exactly when I have the ORD springs on.

Whats a decent deal? THey better be like $150 or less for the pair imo if they are used.

I got 2 fox bumps brand new from ORW for just over $300 when I bought mine.

Any chance you wanna sell me your 56" springs ( cheap haha) once you get the new ones, This is Ira by the way? I'm gonna be getting ORD springs down the road too but wanna setup the rear for 56" instead of my 52"s. I want to dial in the ride height and axle placement before ordering custom springs plus I haven't been able to find used 56" springs anywhere locally.

Yea man of course. I was going to get rid of both.
