Looking at their prices... what does $800 for a 4" kit with blocks get do over something from Tuff Country? Are the TC springs imports?

No experience yet with either. I did call TC to make sure HD's were easy rides with removable "power springs and was greeted by a real person that told me they are made somewhere in CO.

I put 4inch BDS springs under the front of my burban, for the most part, they ride just like the stockers. I never would have paid that much for them though. I bought mine barely used from a member on here, they were sold to me as cheap Rough Countries but ended up being BDS:D

Good to know.. I'll just stick with Tuff Country. If I manage to break a spring hopping a curb I'm in trouble :haha:

I had BDS springs on mine for a long time, I loved them. Great spring rate; both ride and flex. I also liked the way they tied the leaves together.

And when I bent the crap out of the rears (not BDS' fault, I would have bent any springs), they warrantied them no question.

I recommend them to people all the time, great springs IME.

BDS is based here in Michigan. Not sure where the springs are made.

I've got 4" BDS springs out back on my wheeling rig, and it rides pretty nicely for an old truck. Still fairly stiff though, I still haven't hooked up any shocks on the rear since I put the 14 bolt in, and honestly can't tell they arn't there

I had 4" TC HD's up front on my 82 K5 and 4" BDS up front on the 89. Both work pretty well. i liked the TC's though and good price
