Posting this in the truck forum as well, but I need to know the mileage I can expect with a truck I'm looking at. Specs out as this:
'91 C3500 crew cab duallie
6.5 Diesel engine
Auto tranny
Gears unknown
104K miles

And also, do you think $4200 is a good deal? This will be a tow rig and daily driver. I wanted 4x4 but all the 4wds in my price range seem to be trashed. Thanks.

Laketex,
MUDNUTT just bought a chevy 3500 6.5 turbo 4x4, I think it is a 95 and he is getting about 13 MPG with his. I have a 99 Dodge 1 ton Duallie 4x4 Cummins and I get around 13 with it too.

so maybe I can expect 14 or 15 since it's a 2wd? A little lower than i wanted, but thanks for the info.

My boss has a 1994 with an auto and 4.10 rear and he gets around 16-18 if he keeps it between 70-75mph. But if you can get 14-15 you're doing pretty good considering how much truck you're pulling around.

My mpg are the same as the above at 16-18 for my 94 3500 4x4, 4.10, 35/12.5/16.5 BFG's KO's and I drive 70-80 mph. keeping it at or under 2500 rpm's
