Ok, it's a 350 tbi in an 87 k-5. I have pretty much gone over the engine compartment like the rest of the truck douring this build. It only gets driven in and out of my shop (like 30') while grinding, welding, and such, well 2 days ago it started running a little rough like it was loading up. Then each time I went to move it, it ran worse, today it won't start at all. It still sounds like it's loading up . This is my first of this kind, (late 80's tbi stuff) I'm still open headers and from start #1 it seemed rich from the left bank and the collector shows that. should the injectors really dump the fuel @ start up? I never had them checked when they were off.Sorry about the long book----any help would be great.

You're not running the truck long enough. Constant starting and turning the engine off will load up the plugs. Seen this happen too many times. Put your foot on the gas, all the way, and turn the key. Should clear out and start. If not, pull the plugs and clean them. When it fires up you will need to rev it up a bit and then let it idle for a while to warm up. Open headers? Yup, it'll be loud. You don't really have a choice.

Keep in mind, you may need to change the oil too. Prob have enough gas in there to thin it out. I wouldn't chance it. But after that, make sure to let it run for a while every time you move it in/out of the shop.
