What oil from around the garage would be good for cutting 1/2” of threads?

I need to cut about 1/2” of 1/2-28 RH thread.

Once. That’s it. What oil/grease/lube found in your typical garage would work as a good cutting oil?
 
Just about anything will work. Heavy cutting oils I have used usually stink so probably something like gear oil would be good. I often use 30wt or whatever I had in my drilling can at the time. Keep backing the tap up, little bites like 1/4 turn at a time or less.
 
Hmmmm, okay. I have some good synthetic 75w90. That should work.
