Hey everyone, so still new to the k5 and Chevys for that matter. I am going to drive four hours to where the k5 is, and I am taking all of the parts I bought. I ran into a bit of a dilemma. What oil should I use for the engine. It is a 1986 k5 with the 305 (5.0) hi compression engine. I saw 5w-30 and 10w-30. How many quarts should I put in it? In the country I live in, winter isn't a thing. Most of the time it is around 35 degrees Celsius (95F). What oil should I use for the transmission? I believe it is the 700r4. Again, how many quarts? The car also has a g80, but in a pdf it said it is most likely a limited slip and not the governor. I'll leave all the questions below so they are easier to answer. Thank you for any input.

What should I use for the diffs?

I would run 15w-40 for your engine.
I’d bring 6 qts.
You want Dexron atf. 4,5 or 6 will work.
4-12qts. Depending on pan off or a dry trans.
75-80 or 90 gl5 for the diffs.
Each one holds about 3.5 qts. I think
