what parts would be needed when going from a 77 203/th350 to a 208 ?

if i were to want to swap the factory 77 th350/203 to a th350/208 what all parts would i need

208 crossmember ? flat one or W- one ?

adapter ?

driveshafts ?

what is everything that i would need to find/swap/change ?

would i have to modify the shifter cut-out in the floor ?


anyone know of a 208 truck being parted in central IL ?

i have to swap the th350 for another or have it rebuilt anyways so i figured that would be the time

i dont like 203 cases at all

you need a longer output shaft to run the 208, or you can get a short 2wd shaft and cut a little bit off and it will work also

also with that, you need the rare th350/np208 adapter, OR the 700r4/np208 adapter with a 1.75" spacer.

the adapter dictaces what crossmember you need. tall adapter, flat crossmember. short adapter, W or S shaped crossmember.
