i have the parker 40. cuts 1/4" like butter even in my unskilled hands.

thats what I got too parker cut 40, sweet unit, plenty of reasons to spend big money on something better but for the price they just cannot be beat

I use a Hypertherm Powermax 45 and loooove it. As far as the Eastwood units, I think there is a source code in some of their December ads that brings a package price of one of their plasma/tig kits down to $1000 I think. That might have been in one of their email ads, too, not sure.
