the truck is a 77 crew cab and the owner says it is a full floating SRW. if it was stock is it going to be a D70 D80 or 14bff. Also what year did gm start using the 14bolt?

thanks

The only D80 that I am aware of GM using was under the rear of the circa mid 90's 3500HD trucks. Old stuff didn't have it at all, and I'm thinking the D80 itself wasnt created until the late 80's (used in Ford super duties)

yeah and d70s were used in dually applications along with a drw 14 bolt, but for srw crew cabs all I have ever seen or heard of is 14 bolt ff axles.
