looking for a off road rock crawling application...i know about bilstein but id like to have more treavel than 14 inches...i know about poly performance and they have 15...what else...i dont want to drop 400 plus dollars on some shocks and be happy..im shopping in the 4 to 6 hundred dollar range

I have the Poly BBCS on the front. They have worked great both on the street and trails. I have been running Rancho RS9000's for over 5 years and have no complaints about them either. There are tons of good shocks on the market today so it really comes down to what you want.

ive heard it makes all the diffrence on the trail...im running a 4 link rear (not coilover) so shocks are important

IMO, shocks don't matter much in the rocks. Having shocks is important, sure, but messing with valving and bound/rebound rates isn't going to change rock crawling performance.

Good shocks really shine in a pre-runner, high speed jumping type application.
