what should i do?

ok guys i have an idea. i just finished building my truck. its road worthy, straight, clean and actually pretty nice, it is a 79 and is rididng on a 6" lift with 38's or 41's. i also just found an old gmc army truck the old style with the big 9" style axles. the truck runs and moves with a good chassis but body is shot. so here are the options:

1. beat the nice truck till its tore up and breaking axles and swap in army axles

2. lower current trtuck to a more tow worthy stance and then build up the army truck with a diffrent body and do an engine swap and doubler with say 52" XZL's

3. scrap army frame and swap driveline into a 78 chassis/cab and build that. and still lower the nice rig to say 4" lift and 35's

I assume you are talking about a GMC 2.5 ton truck/axles?

If so, they aren't gonna like 52's.

I would keep the nice truck for a tow rig dd. and build another truck for wheelin.

why wont the old gmc axles like 52's? guys run them here in the mud quite a bit and hold up like rockwells
