I am having difficulty finding out the CC on these heads. I have done a Google search and came up empty. so here's what i got i ran the numbers on the block and heads and came up with an 89-93 350 BLK#14093638 and the heads i got i was able to find out they are efi swirl port. int.valve1.94 exh.valve1.5001. I am wanting to know the cc on these heads and i am having trouble finding out. so I am hoping someone on here might know or can tell me where to look. My other question is are these gonna be efficient enough for the 383 that I'm building? thanks James

Unless you have a part number, I don't have the info on the newer stuff. My guess is that without building the motor full race, the heads will do fine on a 383.

The number you need is cast on the top of the head. The block # wont help much. My guess is you have 14102193 heads if they are the orginal heads that came on that block. GM made 2 types of 193 heads:
74 cc 8.2 to one compression ratio which were put on HD 4 bolt main truck engines
And
64 cc 9.2 to one CR which were put on light duty 2 bolt truck 350s.
If you look at the front of the heads that faces the radiator there are casting marks that id the heads.
The 64cc have small "capitans bars" at the very top of the front face of the head.
The 74cc have a triangle on top of a rounded square on the bottom of the front face.
They are TBI heads and will work on a 383. 193s build huge ammounts of torque but they quit flowing around 46-4800 RPM.
If you are building a performance 383 you will want a better flowing head.
But if you want pure low end grunt and good gas milage the 193 heads will work great with matching cam. They will work best with TBI.
Is your 383 going to be injected or carbed?

I guess i should refresh threads before I post. IIRC 191 heads are the big chamber 76 cc heads. Check the casting marks like I described above to be sure. Flat top pistons and the 76cc heads will give a CR around 9 to one.
