Do I need for my oil pressure gauge? It's an autometer gauge and it started leaking on my foot. It was zip tied up and got a hole rubbed in it.
I also need to know what size fittings i'll need.

I currently have some vice grips pinching the line but I feel ghetto.

1/16 plastic line is about all you need.

sweet! That was quick.

any idea what size fittings i'll need? I would pull them off and match them up buttttt I don't like the idea of oil blowing out of the side of my motor at 70 psi.

you wont need a new fitting, but you'll need new ferrules for the fittings...

when you unscrew the fittings from the gauge and sender fitting, slide the fitting up the line a bit and you you'll see a crushed, brass, barrel-shaped ferrule on the old line... something like this...

you'll need new ones obviously... just cut the line behind those to get the fitting piece off the line. any decent parts store will have 1/16th ferrules...

I think the tube is 1/8",thats what size copper I used to plumb my gauges up with...
I hate the nylon tubing,I lost a good pair of shoes when my '69 GTO had the tubing pop out of the gauge cluster I installed..if I hadn't felt the hot oil on my feet I probably would have kept driving till I ran it dry!..

well the nut is all fubar so I'm just going to replace it all. They're chap enough that I might as well.

nothing wrong with the plastic imo, properly installed.. copper is nice, but has drawbacks too...

and by plactic i meant nylon line, 1/16" nylon line with ferrules and nuts you're gold. same with boost and vaccume guages 16th nylon line is plenty good enough./

I thought that Autometer gauges all used the steel braided -3 hose. :dunno:

I had to get my 3' steel braided -3 line separately. I run the nylon line on my vacuum guage...
