What size pinion seal do I need?

I went to carquest I know I know, but any how I wanted a pinion seal for my 12 bolt and they say there are 3 different sizes due to ring gear, but when I went to Schucks the other day they went to get the part off the shelf and were out, they never said anything about different sizes. So is there more than one size seal or what?

Stuipid lacky counter boy's. You have a 8 7/8 ring gear in a 12 bold truck axle. When they ask if you have the 8.5 slap them and tell them you said 12 bolt not 10 bolt and 10 bolts were not used until 81-82 on and you cleary said 197x /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
