I swapped 56¨ suburban leafs into the rear of my blazer, along with a 4¨ shackle reversal. I re used the stock shackles, which was a mistake. They just barely fit it, and its just not a good fit. What size shackles should I use to net a total of 6 inches of lift in the rear?

I assume you have 6" on the front? If so, does it sit level now? If not level, how far off?

Also, how many leafs in the 56" spring pack?

Actually I have 3¨ lift, 52¨ length tuff country ez rides that I will be swapping up front. Workin on the rear right now. Those should net me around 6¨ in the front from what I have read. The rear pack is 5 leaves including the overload.

Well then, allow me to confuse you. :D

I have 2.5" 52's on the front with a Zero Rate so I'm guessing I'm right at 7" lift. For the rear I'm running 2.5" flip / 6" Diy4x shackles / 7 leaf 56's & Zero Rate. She sits dead level.

I can't remember how thick my rear spring pack is, I'll have to check. Knowing that should help figuring out what size shackle for you.

I just checked and my rear springs are 3.5" thick.

I gave kert a call at diy4x, turns out that when using 56¨ springs with the ORD shackle flip, you have to put the shackles on the opposite side that the directions show. Thats kinda what I thought needed to happen when I was putting them on, but decided to just follow the directions. Oh well, time to go swap em.

Sorry buddy, I misread and thought you were trying to figure out how long of a shackle to buy for add'l lift. :doah:

Doesn't it say in the directions to swap them side for side when using 56" springs?

if you have a ord or ord style flip kit in the stock 1/2 ton or light 3/4 ton 52" rear spring spacing holes. then you can just swap the hangers left and right to bolt in 56" springs.

if you want you can if the holes are there move the hangers back and rebolt to the frame in the normall positions for left/right sides.

what i have seen in my few trucks with 56" springs and ord 4" flip at least on 1 ton trucks is the shackles are stright up and down. for best ride thay need a little slant back just sitting there.

when i redo my truck a bit this summer i am going to flip or move the hangers to give the shackles a bit of a tilt to the back for a much better ride.
