So I *thought* I had a socket big enough to reach into the 6.2 engine to get to the injectors. This thing has got to be around a 1" size, no way to get a wrench in there.. has to be a socket?

Can someone confirm this for me?

i know it's bigger than 1 in. snap-on makes a specific socket for it. that's where my brother got his when he needed to change his.

It's a 30 mm deep socket...

I have one I've used 16 times...:)

what a !@#!

Borrowed a 30mm deep from autozone. the injectors are pretty coked, and I replaced the faulty leaky one. Unfortunately I only got to two of them. I have the old style large AC compressor, and I would have to remove that out of the way first before I can get to the injector.

Get a 30mm box end wrench, and you can get to it from the underside through the fenderwell. If you have a body lift its actually quite easy this way.
