I'm thinking about buying a winch for my K5 and was wondering if a 9500lb would be big enough or do I need to go bigger?

I have both the warn 8274 and m12000 winches. You can't go wrong with those. The 8274 is mounted on the front & the 12000 will be going on the rear soon.The 9500 should work but just in case buy a snatch block to double the capacity. What kind of wheeling are planning to do? If its deep mud then bigger is better /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Not much mud more geared towards rocks but will occacionally see mud.

I get by with a M8000, you should be fine with a 9500. Basically the biggest Winch you can afford is a good rule of thumb, and can't go wrong with a Warn /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Depends on the kind of wheeling. If the mud you run is deep and sticky... I wouldnt go under a 12k.
