Im trying to run stock hummer wheels, i swapped on some dana 60 dually hubs today(partially, need a couple bolts and a wheel stud before i get the other side on) and im planning on getting some spacers for the rear to fit the stock hummers, i have read and it looks like alot of people are running 2 inch spacers in the rear, what spacers do i need to get the same width as the dually d60?

From what I've read the 2" spacers in the rear work out the best to match a dually front axle.

A 2" spacer in the back may let you fit stock hummer rims, but there is no way it will make the track width the same between front and rear. A SRW Dana 60 is already around 3" total (1.5" each side) wider than a 14FF rear axle, then add on the extra width of the dually hubs and it would be several inches wider on each side than a 14FF with 2" spacers.

A van width rear with 2" spacers would get you close but the only way to get it exact is to use a Dually Dana 70 or a wide 14FF Dually and then swap on your stock SRW 14FF hubs.

Doing that will make the front and the rear the exact same width. Along with that you would have to go with custom disc brake brackets.

I am looking for a solution too. My eaton is 65" wms, and my dodge DRW D60 is 75" wms...got a decent jump in size.

so do you guys think its unsafe to go with spacers thicker then 2 inches? performancewheel.com where everybody on pirate seems to be having success sells spacers up to 4 inches thick, aside from them loosening up it doesnt seem like the spacers would be a weak point. does anybody know the width of a dually d60, a srw d60 and a srw 14 bolt? i suppose i might just want to keep the rear 1' or whatever it was narrower at each side like it was stock to help in corners

SRW D60 is 69.5"
SRW 14 bolt is 67"

Rene

And a DRW 60F is ~77.5"

A DRW 14FF (wide version) or a Dana 70 are ~73" if you swap out the hubs for SRW 14FF hubs (they fit on a 14FF and a Dana70) the WMS extends to almost 78"

i was kind of contemplating moving to a dana 70 rear in the past, but if i swap out my rear end for one after doing a ton of work to my 14 bolt ill probably regret it and i dont plan on going any bigger on this rig so i dont need 7.17's, i will be on the lookout for a wide 14 bolt or housing to swap, but for now ill see if i can get ahold of the spacers and see how i like them, thanks for the advice guys! :usaflag:

Fwiw, I'll be running 3.25" spacers on my rear end. I believe the brand is Aerocraft.

I'm running 4" spacers in the rear. No problems as of yet. If you look down the side of my tires, it looks like the front and rear axles are right on width wise.

makes sense, have you been wheeling it or street driving it? are they the spacers from performancewheel.com?

I got mine second hand from TARussell (he had them on a dually w/ 38's), he doesn't get on much during the week but maybe he'll see this and chime in on the source.
