Here what I have...... 78 Blazer, 454 engine (just over 300 horse), TH400/NP205, 60 front Detroit, 14 bolt rear Detroit, (6:13 gears), 42" Swampers. This project is in the works. And I am to the point where I need to buy a stall. I was thinking on a 2000 to 2400 rpm stall. But I am not sure. This Blazer is mainly for mud and offroad use only. Can anyone tell me if I am the right track?

I would say you dont want a huge stall for an offroad truck. And since that motor isnt puttin out a ton of power id say the 2000 would be the most stall I'd go with.

Also I see you are from southern il, you ever go to the badlands in attica indiana?

EDIT: you sure those aren't 5:13 gears? they dont make 6:13s

You are right. I just checked. They are 5:13. I bought them 7 years ago. My memory isnt what it use to be.

As far as Badlands, Attica.....I have never been there but when the project is done. It is on the list!!!

Best way to find out is what stall would be best is to call the manufactur. You sound like you know most of the stuff you will need to tell them because they ask alot of questions. I would agree with mudder that you don't want to go much over 2000. If you don't want to have to worry about the stall just send me your project and I will send you mine! I've already got my stall installed! lol....very nice project you've got on your hands.
