Wife got me the portable Sirius XM deal and I apparently have a pioneer head unit that's as old as my 97. So no AUX port or any of that fancy stuff. I'm a pioneer fan in general but I'd like to hear what you guys are using

I have this:

I had to trim the dash and fab up the brackets with some nuts and a Schoshe install kit, but it works great.

Wow man! Pretty damn awesome. So I went a good bit cheaper ant put this in today...

I don't like the way the single din radio's look in that spot, so that's why I went with the double din, and it wasn't too bad, the radio was last years closeout, so I got it real cheap and I paid the stereo shop $100 to wire it up. I cut the dash and fabbed the bracket myself. Total cost to me was $325. Just the pure functionality of the dd is very worth it.

Don't know who's asking who what but the lights on my head unit do change color until you select one from the menus. Not an option I really care for, but I like Pioneers and this one had USB and Aux port, is 50 watts peak and was only 100 bucks :waytogo:

It also has pre outs for 2 amps. I'll eventually add one of the amps I have sitting around and upgrade the door speakers and add a small sub under the rear seat.

Got it all in. Seems to work well for a low buck set up...

Not totally in love with the antenna placement but it was the best I could come up with without tearing a lot of the interior out. Tucked the wire behind all the weather stripping and then routed the rest behind the glovebox, then out from the ash tray....

Right now I don't have anything in... The M1009 does not come with one. But I got 2 bad azz stereos in my storage unit just itching to get installed...

Gotta have the Aux and USB plug in on the face plate or bust...

I also like the Bluetooth stereos so I can wirelessly feed it threw my iPhones iTunes. Such a nice feature!

I have the factory radio in the '05. Has amplified speakers front, middle and rear with pillar tweeters and factory sub in the back. 6-disc changer in dash with aux in connected to the factory ceiling DVD player, XM built-in, steering wheel controls and back seat controls for a 2nd program (head unit plays 2 sources at once). I don't want to mess with it because it sounds good and does a lot. I would love mp3 player remote controls, but don't know if that's possible. Technically I can run a line in from the DVD player by setting the dash unit to "RSE", but having the plugs on the ceiling isn't ideal (plus then the kids can't watch a movie). I don't know if anybody makes a real line-in adapter since it's already connected to so many sources.

This is by far my favorite head unit I've run. It has a 16 band Eq, and 5 volt pre-amp outputs for front, rear, and sub. I know it's expensive, bit I really like it.

My DD has an alpine w-505 double din. Way over priced radio and I hate it. It's MSRP is like 1200$ or something. If it wasn't in the truck when I bought it, it wouldn't be there.
