Asking for a friend...

wondering if any of you know what this divorced monter is? It has a hi-lo, and a 2-4 lever. Came in an old GMC Plow truck. Thanks

really big.? :dunno::dunno: i honestly have no idea, but I too am now curious:thinking:.

I spent about an hour on google searching the other day.. I think it *might* be a borg-warner, but I'm not sure. I'm not even 100% sure its a transfer case. It might be an auxiliary transmission. Reason being, I've looked at the pictures you posted, and I only see 2 yokes. For it to be a 4wd transfer case, it would need 1 input shaft and 2 output shafts. I just don't see it.

If you could identify the truck itself for sure, I could probably figure out more. I'm guessing its a late 60's, maybe early 70's.

I noticed that too. I asked the guy find out about the axles. I'll check on the vehicle info. He's moving down to Miami and selling axles and t-cases on the way down so this, of course, got everybodies attention.

Here is what he said...

I know it's a 7500 series, 2.5 ton running gear. And like I mentioned earlier, 67-72 year going by the body. I didn't have a chance to really dig around there today. I will in the morning. thanks

it is divorced, if you look above the pillow block for the PTO shaft in that last picture you can see a round tube and were it necks down to the slip yoke. nothing really back then was married.
