what temp does ur engine run at?

Thats nominal, my old motor would get into the 220's and higher in traffic with the A/C going

Mine runs too cold. 160 in Tampa traffic, on a long ride or on the trail. I need to get it up around 190 or so. Its only hit 170 twice that I can think of, and the last time was in the mid 90s a few weeks ago and it had been running roads and trails for almost 5 hrs non stop at that point.

200 is fine my 90 ran that unless pulling I70 UP HOG BACK OUT OF DENVER AND WOULD GO TO 220 CORE STARTED LEAKING
put 4 core in hangs at 195 now same as thermo.
had a ford 1 ton service truck way over loaded with a6.5
hit as high as 250 still ran a 150tho. before craped out
ive noticed some guys get way to freaked over a little heat if it aint boiling its OK AIRATED WATER ISNT COOLING /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I run 180 all the time, which is the temp the stat opens at. Only time it went higher was one time when it was about 120 in the central valley, it got up 185 that day when I was going up hills. When I had a 160 stat in it, same story, ran at the stat rating all the time.

mine runs 180 ... when driving on the freeway at summer heat 90-100 at 3k rpm going around 60 -70 with the AC on ive hit 210.

My 400 runs around 220 unless Im pulling somethin it will hit 230. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

195 Unless I'm towing or haulin (a$$) then it goes up to 220 but it comes right back down. Come to think about it I'v never heard the clutch come on... Hmmm..

DOn't worry about the fan clutch not kicking in. My little 305 pulls some nasty grades with a travel trailer in the summer and I have yet to hear my clutch fan either. I know the sucker works, because I can hear it catch and release during warm-up.
