What temp. thermostat is best?

I burned up two relays so far with my windstar fans (over about 4 years).
You have 1 relay for each fan, right? This makes the load much more reasonable and gives redundancy in the system (you only lose 1 fan, not both). The best relays are usually factory ones and not something from Autozone. Bad crimps on the terminals take out as many relays as their own contacts failing do. You want factory crimps or soldered crimps, but avoid aftermarket relay sockets unless it is a well-proven brand.

For people wanting to have only manual control of electric radiator fans, I usually recommend using a mechanical fan....

Yes, I have two relays. The two I lost were indeed aftermarket. I have one from a ford in there now, and a couple spares in my kit. I have a thermoswitch too but it has since added about ten degrees above its spec, lol.

i have duel fans with a relay for each fan and my ac kicks on both fans and i carry two spares for them cause they go screwy every once in a while

Vegas is not considered a mild climate is it. I've been there and it gets hotter than snot and colder than a witches

When I say "mild" I mean it does not get down to below freezing much here where I live. If I lived in a cold climate where it gets below freezing several months out of the year, I would have to run thermostat for engine warm up. Here in Vegas it gets barley down to freezing for a couple of hours a day about one month out of the year.

interesting... i am trying to remember what thermostat I put in. Today drove truck in and this was ringing through my head as I watched the truck heat up. i have to go out and look at my gauge now to see where it went.

How do you like it? It has some pretty horrible reviews on Summit.

Meh. 51 reviews and it's like what 4.5 stars?

Some people can't wire to save their lives.

I railed on mine pretty good lol. Including a full throttle river crossing that was a bit too deep. I'd give it 5 stars. No problems so far.
