Funny I found my HD hooks like that in a junkyard a few years ago and paid under $20 for them. They are out there...

Sure, but he's hoping he drums up the same kind of fever that is pulled from the 67-72 factory tow hooks as those go for stupid money too.
 
A set of those came on my K5...they were about to hit the scrap bin. Are there actually value in these things? Obviously not $500, but more than the $20 factory tow hooks typically go for?

No. They are the same factory tow hooks it seems about at least half of the 4WD trucks got. As parts that haven't been made in 27 years go, these are not particularly rare. Not many people need them that don't already have them, and they don't just rot away, so they aren't being consumed at a high rate either.
