check out this youtube video, im reaaaaalllly confused by this. some guy is checking his injector for fuel..... by unscrewing it, placing it in a glass jar, and cranking the engine....... im no diesel tech, but everything ive been told about diesel fuel injection systems SCREAMS that this is about the worst way you could do this. i thought the fuel pressure would have shattered that jar. My only experience working on diesel fuel systems are the new duramax engines that operate at 32k psi. i thought our 6.2L diesels were still at least 20k or so. am i off base here?

IDK about old stuff but yeah, you're right, anything new (or even kinda new), runs WAY too much pressure to do some junk like that!!!!!!!

The 6.2 diesel are indirect injection which means much less pressure. Around 3,000 psi I believe. That is not enough to do anything to the jar. However, he did not need to even use the jar, to check for that. He should have just loosened the line and waited for fuel to leak out.
