My vote went for the procomp, and specificaly the Xterrain.
I also like how the BFG wear, but I like the Xterrain for the smooth ride and yet capable off road.

For my 83 K5 /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif Well when that happends put in a good word for me ok /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif
I like BFG's alot but damn for a 16in tire it would cost about 230 in a 35
I wanted to go with a 17in wheel but there is not a lot of them out there yet in a steel wheel
I would stayed with a 15in wheel but with running Disk brakes all around I'm just not sold on it I guess I know it can be done .
But back to tires this rearend is welded and I know thats not going to help with the wear. But then I can change all that but that will be a long time from now.................

It's a DD or I should say it will when it get's back on the road.
If you didn't see the other post about the wheels
It's going to have a Dana 60 rear with 4.56 and welded gears the front is a D44 with a ARB and will be getting a 8 lug stuff sometime soon. I've looking at tires and wheels to go with it all I went down to our local shop asking ? They were trying to sell me on a Micky T Baja MTX for about 140 a tire the wheel was a MT Classic 2 for about 120 per. I'm just not sold on that yet MickyT's in the past have never lasted long. But who knows.

BFG or Goodyear MT/R'S. I am running the BFG A/T's now and am going to run the MT's soon. I have a set of BFG MT's sitting and am waiting for some rims. I am planning on the 37" MT/R's one day. I have heard good things about them with locked rearends so eventually we will see.

But for daily driving I would say BFG or something with hard rubber so they don't wear as fast. I talked to Chris (FortCollinsRam) and he has the Procomp Xterrains. He put in the Detroit in the 14bff and he said he noticed alot of extra wear, fast. So I would stay away from them. Also I would buy my tires from Discount. There warranty's are awesome. They are the only place I get my tires from.
