What tire to select?

I currently running BFG Wranglers 35X12.5 R 15, looking to get a new set of tires. I mostly run in the desert near where I live, one trip can leave a set of tires looking pretty ragged. Lots of sharp rocks, never lost a tire, but seems like the tires get pretty torn up pretty quick. Any suggestions on the type of tire I should be looking for to stand up to these condtions?

BFG projects are readily available on racedezert at good prices and they definately have the best reputation for puncture resistance, but they are bias. Yellow label MTR's seem to hold up well in the desert and they are radial, but a little harder to find. The less aggressive/shallower the tread is, the less they will chunk. No matter what the tire is, they are still going to get chewed up from the sharp desert rock. I chunked a brand new tire on my bike to the point of throwing it away (never went flat) in 200 miles riding around Ridgecrest this january.
