What Tires?

2" LIFT
CURRENTLY 285/75 R16 TIRES ON 16" STEEL WHEELS.
uSE PRIMARILY ON STREET AND LIGHT OFF ROAD. (WOODS AND BEACH AND MAYBE A TRIP TO WATCH THE REAL WHEELERS AT bLAZER BASH NEXT YEAR)
NOW, WHAT TIRES FOR GOOD OFF ROAD PERFORMANCE, QUIET AND STABLE ROAD MANNERS AND OF COURSE, GOOD LOOKS? i AM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS

BFG All Terrains, maybe? They'd be quiet and, of course, have a good reputation. They wont perform very well in mud but should do ok in average dirt and great in sand.

I have one as a spare on the front of my truck now. I was lookin at gettin them all around. Just wasn't sure how they were in snow, ice and such.

Can't help you there my friend, we seldom ever get snow on the sunny, warm gulf coast.

They're great in ice and the snow you will see on the road.

They won't throw snow like a more aggressive tire will in the deep stuff.

I would vote for the BFG All Terrains too.

2" Rough country spring lift and 32 x 10.5 x 15 BFG A/Ts. They did great in the snow. Im running M/T Baja Radials 33 x 12.5 x 15s now, but once these wear im going back to BFG ATs

From my experience with work trucks there are 3 main tires I really like.

Goodyear Workhorse Extra Grips. I had them on my K10 and Blazer both with excellent results. This is also what the old place I worked for ran on all their pickups.

Next are the Cooper Discovery S/Ts. At my current place of employment this is what are on the majority of the pickups. I think they are a very good tire also. Cooper claims to have a tougher carcuss then BFG with this tire.

Last is of course the BFG A/T alot of my friends have run them. And like them for an all weather tire...definatly not the best in mud but its not a Mud Terrain its a All Terrain so thats to be expected.

The current tires on my Blazer are probably the best tire I have ever had. Winston Winner M/Ts. More or less a knock off swamper. But great traction, good road handleing. They do make a good amount of noise though. I love them in the Mud and Snow. I cant find a good picture of them though. Also from what I have been told by my tire guy they are no longer being produced.

I have had BFG A/T's on a 2WD truck, 2WD Sub, 4X4 van in Japan that saw plenty of snow, and now a brand new set 285/75/16 on my current Sub with 2.5 lift. I still think they are the best all around tire! Just my opinion which probably isn't worth much.

X2 on the good year workhorses. They are an excellent tire. They work really good in snow, they are fairly quiet on the highway.

hard to beat a mall terrain for street duty.. They last forever, quiet and handle rain/snow/ice well..

mine had over 50 g's on em, and where probably at 25% before I bought the 38 TSL's...
