OK I have a set of I think American Mags (old school) that use the lug nut with a washer instead of an acorn lug nut. I think that either the holes are enlarged or I have the wrong diameter lug nuts. I went to Pep Boys today and the lug nuts that they had looked the same as what I already have. If anybody else has had this problem and can tell me how to fix it I would be most appreciative.

I thought I read somewhere that you could machine the holes and use a special steel insert and conical seat lug nuts, I could be crazy and dreamt it also /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

You don't rember who it was that had the fix? If I can't get this problem figured out then maybe I will get some 6 bolt to 8 bolt adapters and buy some new rims. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Sorry, I can't remember. I read it somewhere on ck5 quite a while ago.

Here is the post I was thinking of. Now that I read it again it sounds like it won't work for you.
