use black primer, then clear coat it with a coat that has a flattening agent added. Alot of hot rods do that now to be "old school"....gives it a nice suede look
leave it the color of all the parts that you put on. I gray primed mine and wish that i had not. I believe more cars got out of the way when it was calico. just like the last car i has that was calico.
dont use the undercoating spray crap I just spent a week scrapping that junk off my rig when it gets hit from the UV rays it cooks it and it changes colors ( not evenly ether)
I don't have a choice in the voting. I've always decided on a color then went to Home Depot or local hardware store and painted it with rattle cans. Cheap and easy and you don't worry about scratches or what ever. When you get back from an outting you just pull out the can and touch up the effected areas.
