What to do w/ a fuel tank? Switch to saddle tank? Fuel cell? ????

With thoughts of bobbing the back of a K5 right behind the rear shackle mounts....what do you do w/ the fuel tank? Fuel cell would be cool, but they cost alot of $$ for one big enough. Can you put a saddle tank from a p/u in a K5? Has anyone done this?
What are some other options?

I remember hearing that the saddle tanks off a truck wont work on a K5, but I dont remember why.

I've bobbed mine closer than that, and I've got the tank in the back. I moved it forward and up about 2" from a stock K5 location. On a hard drop the axle could hit it. So I build t cross member just above the axle with a bump stop in the center over the diff (I have no bumps on the sides). I've hit the bump hard enough to bend it a little (just added a gusset I should have put on to start with) but no damage to the tank...
