I have been on ck5 for over 6 months...mostly looking and learning.

I have a problem...bought too many trucks for a project and now Im out of cash and nothing is done...

I wanted to build a pre Blazer (originally) 75 CA smog exempt for AZUZA canyon, Ocotillo Wells, and Glamis...I wanted 39 + tires and at least 8 inches of lift

truck 1

1975 suburban c2o trailering special...silverado air, cruise, 1 owner, cruise, 454, t400....very clean...sounds cool with glass packs...paid 2600

truck 2

1987 suburban k20 33in tires...was running when I bought it for 900...but then I beat it up on the hill and now it wont shift...this was supposed to be a parts truck for the 75...it has a 350 tbi and a 400 trans...i already started by taking off the dana44

truck 3

1973 jimmy with a 90 blazer front clip...ran ok...but the electrical quit...its not the battery or the starter...is it possible that it is the wiggley steerig column?...it needs rear brakes..a tune up....fix the exhaust leak...major trans leak...I think the trans has the wrong pan....it does have a mean sounding 350...they guy that sold it to me said it was bored over 60...what does that mean? More displacement? It has headers with a magnaflow on each side. I recntly gutted the inside...it has rust on the floor boards next to the doors...I just bought a stock roll bar for $75

Help! I originally wanted a blazer but thn I found the cool 75. Then I bought the parts 1987 sub....now I have the 73 jimmy too and im out of cash....should I sell the cool 75 and finish the 73? Im having a hard time parting with the 75...its fun to drive! sometimes I think of setting the 87 sub like the ORD project suburban for practicallity??????

Build the '73, use the '87 for parts and sell the '75. The '75 sounds like a nice clean original truck.

Or keep the '75 for fun, wheel the '87 and sell the '73 in order to buy some parts.

Suburban's are way cool, but a blazer is more practical unless you have a lot people you want to take with you. Get rid of the burbans (minus whatever you need from them) and use the cash for the blazer.

On a personal note, I would also put a '73 clip back on the '73. That's just me though. If you like it, then stick with it.
