right now i have a 4in lift, 33's,and my stock 10b. i have 1000 to spend and was torn between 35's, a winch, or a welder. i dont want to put a locker in now because i have found a free 12b rear axle complete and want to put that in. what should i do?

Wouldn't even mess with a 12 bolt. Marginal strength difference. The 10 bolt pinion is bigger (thicker) anyway.

I'd do a winch. What your tires/axles can't get you through, the winch will.

i'd go find a 14blt ff at a junkyard, usually u can get one for about 150$ that has the same ration at the frnt. then buy a welder with the money u got left over and weld the spider gears together. and then u got 3 things, locked rear end and a welder. atleast that's what i would do unless this is a D.D. then maybe hold off on the welding the gears. and get a locker.

Deposit it directly into your savings account and forget it ever passed through your hands...this is an addiction :doah:

I vote either winch or welder. A good winch can be had for MUCH less than $1k though.

way to late to forget about the money, and its in between a dd and a trail only vehicle. i think i am going to buy the welder and try and have enough left over to get a 14b.thanks for the input guys.
