Well... It's currently in the works... I've got a payment plan goign with my boss to take the 82 Burb off the lot for him, $300 and it's mine. Someone else got to the motor before I said I wanted it though, so I thought it would be a good time to start a poll...

What should I do with this Burb?

Choice #1: Put on 35s, do a bit of trimming and shackle flipping, install my 355 with a new intake and quadrajet, along with the SM465 and NP208 t-case.

Choice #2: Put on 32s, do no trimming or lifting but still end up with a tall truck. Add on the 355 and a new torque converter for the 700R4 that's in the truck now. Being an 82, it also has an NP208 if I'm not mistaken, though I wouldn't mind finding a 205 when I get her back to the shop.

Choice #3: Tire size aside... I already own 32s so they are the natural choice, drop in the 355 with a new fuel injection system, leaving the driveline as it sits.

Choice #4: Whatever I decide to do, I must drive it nekid...

well seeing how a 355 is a hard motor to get parts for (seeing how GM NEVER MADE ONE). i would just put a 350 in it (and call it what it is actually called).

the folks around my neck of the woods call an engine by it size for example a 350 bored .030 over = 355 who is to say what it is actually called. never heard of a 406 either I bet.

so uhmmm anyways whats specs on it ?

what series is it ? what axles under it, what tranny and case in it ?

what package is it ?

how much rust ?

brakes and steering work ?

etc

it depends on what you are planning to use it for, is it going to be a daily driver or are you looking for somthing for more offraod?

Blazer

I was wondering do you have money to burn ? Or have you sold the Frist Gen. Blazer of yours. If you still have it you should keep it and build it.
Just my .02

What ever you do I say drop in a stick!

Also if you have the cash, supercharge that mo-fo 355

I voted #2 but put 35s on it, sell the 32s or use em for burnouts. If aint broke dont fix it, so keep the tranny/driveline. Put a motor in it and some tires and Go.
