After talkin to some friends and my dad trying to convince me to sell my truck, i need some input. I have a 83 k5 with a 14 bolt and 350 but it needs work. mostly IMO on the inside were its the most rusty. my dad thinks i should sell it and buy another one in better shape. so seeing how im a college student and broke, im torn. Im thinking of buying an m1008 with the 6.2 and making it a DD when im done with school. sell my DD now save that money. so after drawing that out, what should i do?

i wanted to add a poll but i have never done that before!:doah:

keep it build it ur allready half way there with a 14blt. Pleanty og guys and gals getting rid of parts and gears and stuff on here to built 3 or 4 trucks on the cheap

Is this one paid for? How bad is it? If it's real bad, you can't really hurt it any more so run it. If it's not bad I guess it all depends on how much you like it / want to keep it. As for the M1008, I'd wait until you can afford one as a toy since the ones that run, are in good shape and/or are complete can be rare.

Is the Blazer your dd? If you don't already have a car payment maybe consider buying a cheap econo car and sideline the K5 for play only.

Youll be hardpressed to sell it and get any decent money out of it. Post up some pics so we can assess the situation better. Everyone has different ideas on what is bad and rusty. Ive seen shows on TV where they cut away 80% of the car and said it wasnt bad, lol.

I will takesome pics when I get to the house. I have a car payment now but I pls. On selling it in a year and makin the blazer a DD. Maybe swap a 6.2 or 6.5. It does need work but I guess it's not to bad. My dad was behind me the other day and said the truck looked crooked going down the road like the frame was bent or the axle isn't square. I'll just post pics it would be better
